Custom fabricators

Quote fabrication jobs without the back-and-forth.

A configurator built for sheet metal, structural steel, aluminum and composite fab shops. Material × thickness × cut method × bends × finish × quantity → priced spec with reference number, PDF output, and your CRM updated. Reduces the four-day email tennis match to ten minutes.

The bottleneck

What slows Custom fabricators down today.

Four patterns I see repeatedly across custom fabricators running on a generic contact-form workflow. The fix isn't a bigger contact form — it's a tool that does the qualification on the page.

01

You're quoting from emailed PDFs with hand-marked dimensions. The shop foreman re-keys it; mistakes happen; jobs get re-quoted.

02

Setup fees and per-cut pricing are confusing to disclose. A configurator surfaces them line-by-line and customers accept them when they see the build-up.

03

Quantity breaks change the per-unit price meaningfully. Without a tool, customers don't know to ask for the bigger run.

04

Lead time depends on queue, material availability, and complexity. You need a way to gate "rush" requests separately.

What you get

What I ship for Custom fabricators.

Fab-shop configurators routinely cut quoting cycle time by 60-70% and surface 15-25% more upsell opportunities (finishing, expedited delivery) because they're shown live.

FAQ

Questions custom fabricators ask first.

No fluff — the specifics buyers want before booking a call. If yours isn't here, ask on the call.

Can customers upload a DXF or STEP file?

Yes — step 5 has a file upload accepting DXF, DWG, STEP, PDF and IGS. Files land in your CRM attached to the lead, and we send you an email/Slack notification with the file. Useful for capturing the actual print before the customer leaves the site.

How does the calculator handle complex bending or progressive dies?

Step 3 (cut method) cascades into step 4 (bend / form). For progressive-die or transfer-press setup, the calculator surfaces a "complex tooling — consult sales" branch that captures the customer's spec and routes the lead to a sales engineer instead of returning a price.

Can I set per-customer pricing (B2B agreed rates)?

Yes — Pro and Custom tiers support customer-account login. Logged-in users see their negotiated rates instead of public list pricing. Anonymous users see the public band. Logins integrate with your CRM customer records.

Can the calculator handle our specific material grades?

Yes. The spec tree is fully editable post-launch — add new materials, grades, thicknesses, and per-grade multipliers from the admin panel. The default schema includes the common AISI/ASTM grades for carbon steel, stainless, aluminum, copper and brass.
